CPU can't boot most of the time
I was happy when I got my CPU in the mail. I've wanted to upgrade my secondary machine for quite a while.
It currently has a dual core CPU and since I'm using it as a server I wanted to upgrade to a quad core. So I rolled the dice and bought one on ebay. The Intel Core 2 Quad Q9500 I got can't boot the operating system half the time. I've tried everything. I have two motherboards of the same type. Tried them both. I made sure that the bios is fully up to date. I replaced the battery on the motherboards. I tested the memory and tried several different operating systems on different SSD's. Intel quad core CPU vs. dual core processor
In comparison to the core two duo that is installed on Dell desktops to this CPU is awesum. Extremely fast and reliable. The computer went from 6.9 & 6.9 on the processor speed to 7.4 7.4. Graphics went from 3.1 to 3.8.

same like intel core 2 duo e7500
The cpu come in 20 days in greece,it works but i don't see a difference in games and browsing,it score the double score in cynebench but it is not a very good upgrade from e7500

My opinion about Q9500
very good CPU but too old---no AVX, AVX2 instructions supported and slihgly big TDP----compare to modern CPUs
anyway it MAKES it's job

Satisfied
This 4-cores CPU replaced my old 2-cores CPU. Althoigh it was really cheap upgrade, PC performance improved not only in apllications, but also in newer games, which surprised me.
