Fantastic CPU that is fast and easy to install. Before this CPU I had a 2.1 GHz dual core laptop core 2 duo, it was pathetic. This only looks like it is 700MHz faster but it is zoo much faster in so many ways, such as higher FSB, more L2 cache and an unlocked multiplier. I great upgrade in my opinion. A word of warning though, before you buy it, make sure your laptop supports it and that you know how to dismantle your laptop and reassemble it, otherwise you may not have a laptop to use. Excellent for some NB with Intel 965 Chipset and Good for PM45.

Intel X7900 CPU works on SONY VGN-CS31SR (T6400, Mobile Intel® PM45E Chipset, 2x2 Gb DDR2-800, NVIDIA® GeForce® 9300M GS) instead of T6400 without any BIOS and overheating problems. Windows Vista (HP 32bit) Experience Index is 4,3 (CPU – 5,5; RAM – 5,9; General desktop graphics – 4,3; 3 D gaming graphics - 5,0; HDD – 5,5). Title says it all, its a great CPU, I did run into a problem where the benchmark scores were low for some reason but was fixed, also had good customer support, thanks.

This chip rocks!
