Did a nice job of keeping temps dialed in on my BGE for an overnight brisket. However, the reason why this is going in the trash is there is NO alarm when the unit disconnect so you have to pray that it stays connected through an unsupervised cook. And two, this is the main reason, twice during the cook the meat probe just up and LOST the setting I had programmed with ZERO warning. So buy this is you just need a fan. WOW!!! I wish I had been using this for the last several years! Amazing how effective the controller is! I could have save a lot of lump charcoal over the years if I had one of these earlier. PERFECT temperature controller, I cooked on my large "Big Green Egg" for almost fifteen hours and there was still enough charcoal left for probably two more uses.
