An acquired taste
I bought this CD after buying 'Elevator', which I thought was great. This is an earlier album, and I can't help feeling that the band are still finding their feet. There's nothing here that matches the singalongability of 'Middle of Nowhere' or 'Picking It Up' on the aforementioned album.
Having said that, 'Make Up The Breakdown' includes the radio hit 'Bandages' and isn't a bad album. If you are a fan of late 70's/early 80's New Wave (think XTC, The Knack, etc.) then you'll probably like it a lot.
In summary, considering the album cost £3.00 including postage, I can't grumble. Get looking on Ebay and grab it for yourself at a bargain price!!Vollständige Rezension lesen...
Hot!!
4 or 5 corking tracks, a great album. Only let down by a couple of 'fillers'. There will be tracks on here that you will recognise but wont be sure why. Best track: Bandages. Worst: In Cairo. Certainly worth a few quid.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
