Unleashed bass tone and sustain
My newly acquired bass didn't have the clarity of tone and sustain I thought it should have. I replaced the strings, which provided no discernible improvememt. I then thought that, perhaps, I needed a bridge with more mass, so I did some homework on various replacement bridges and chose this Hipshot one. It took about 3 minutes to install and - WOW! - what a difference. The term 'SuperTone' in the name is definitely not just marketing hype; my bass turned into a super-tone instrument with plenty of sustain. Also, and this is probably just coincidence, the intonation and string height were perfect right out of the box - no saddle adjustments needed. However if, in the future, adjustment is necessary, the screws are easily accessed from the rear of the bridge, instead fumbling under the strings at the front of the bridge, as with the original equipment one. Beautiful high-mass bridge by Hipshot
We have not installed the SuperTone 3-Point bridge yet so do not know how it will affect the tone, but we think it will be great. The bridge is high-mass and high quality.
Hipshot is a super company for this and other gear (like tuners) and it's always best to have the best, whether as a replacement or for a new bass.

Great Gibson replacement bridge

Well made with nice features.
This new bridge made my old 1965 Gibson EBO bass come alive with a new sound. You now can adjust the strings and intonation with no problems. Great way to solve an old problem with the old bridges that are not movable. Thanks

Worth it, for sure!
Waay better than the Gibson 3 point.Very good quality and extremely easy to install. Keep your old strings if you need to! Go to the hardware store to purchase felt pads between bridge and guitar body. Hope this adds the equivelent value for resale.

A Grand Replacement
This is by far the best option for a direct replacement bridge on your Gibson bass. They do Gibson customers a disservice by using the old 3 point floating bridge. The Hipshot is a direct contact bridge. It increases stability, sound, and sustain. The bridge height and intonation are simple and spot on. Pull the Gibson bridge off and put it in a box. Great bridge, good value
Nice bridge, looks good, easily adjustable, easy to install. And it lowered the strings on my new Epiphone Eb0 bass.

The SuperTone bridge a perfect replacement for the stock Gibson/Epiphone SG/EB bass bridge
This bridge is a perfect replacement for the stock 3-point "oil rig" bridge. Hipshot provides no instructions with this bridge, but installation was easy, as were action and intonation adjustments.

Worth every penny
I have one of these on a 2014 Gibson SG bass and an Epiphone EB-3 and they are simply awesome. Far, far better than the stock 3 point bridge found on most Gibson/Epi basses as far as setup and absolutely rock solid in build quality like all Hipshot hardware but the biggest bonus is in the tone. Both of my basses gained a deeper, tighter tone and it really brings out the best from the pickups.
