Herco is THE pick

I have tried everything. Herco is wide so it does not move around on your finger. I play blues and southern roots. Not the lightest of touches by any means. So, need something that will stay put. I trim the Herco to different lengths depending on style playing. They are excellent for rounding off the point. It gives a very nice sound, just a little more than bare thumb and is very fast. If I use a pick, most always will be a Herco. In fact, when I use a flat pick anymore it feels pretty strange. Basically, love the Herco thumb pick. Good as delivered but super when you make it fit for what you play. Unless you have a very light touch, use the heavy version.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Easy to use, delivering a good tone for finger-style blues

Despite my wide and short thumb (over 1" wide) it slips on easy. I didn't have to bend it over steam or a flame like the other thumb-picks I use. It feels comfortable and the plectrum-style "business end" is very nice and gives a "thumby" tone that I was looking for playing finger-style blues.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

The Best of Both Worlds!

Sick of dropping your flatpick on the floor? Do your hands cramp up when using a "hybrid" picking style with flat pick and fingers? Herco has the perfect solution. Half thumb-pick, half flat pick, fully awesome. It's essentially a flatpick that hangs on to your thumb, allowing a natural hand position, full use of all fingers, and eliminates pick droppage. Never lose another pick inside your guitar, or under the furniture! Takes a bit to get used to, but once you do, you'll never go back to a standard flat pick.

I recommend the "Heavy" gauge picks, as the light and medium gauges get soft with heat from your hands, and slip off. Extra heavy is also an option, but proved too heavy and stiff for my use. Your mileage may vary. Try them out for yourself. :)

Herco HE113 Thumb Pick

Been using these for years. I do a completely acoustic show in a small venue and I am able to get lots more volume out of my guitar with the Heavy thumb pick. I normally play finger style but need a flat pick to project. This pick design gives me the option of both styles and, you will probably loose the pick long before you wear it out. Takes a little time to get used to it but when you do it gives you a lot of picking options.

Tried the medium Herco thumb pick but the lighter gauge moves around too much on my thumb.

Great thumb pick

Herco pick is similar shape to a flat pick but it is a thumb pick. Good snug fit but not to tight. Works well for flat picking and fingerpicking.
