Hacksaw Ridge (Ultra HD, 2016)

A most own 4K title.

If you have a decent 4k home cinema, you owe it to yourself to get this movie. It has a very strong, emotional, true story, great acting from everyone, Mel Gibson is trully a great director, plus you get a spectacular 4k clear image picture, with near to perfection sound editing. I strongly recommend it, you will surely enjoy watching it.

Great movie awesome PQ

I had the 1080 version of this movie and decided to get the 4k version to compare them. Even though the 1080 was great the 4k was even better. My 4k tv does not support HDR so I can't speak to that feature but the improvement in clarity is definitely noticeable. This was my first purchase of a 4k movie and I definitely plan on getting more when the prices get more reasonable. The movie itself was awesome, great story and characters. I am a fan of anything WW2 anyway so I was very pleased with it. I highly recommend the 4k version if you don't have it.Vollständige Rezension lesen

This is an Oscar winner!

This movie is fabulous! The movie is based on a true story. If the movie, lead actor Andrew Garfield, and director Mel Gibson don't get Oscars they will have been robbed! I think Hugo Weaving should be nominated for best supporting actor as well as he did a fabulous job as well.

I'm from the county next to where the beginning of the story takes place and the local accents were spot on. Even though the movie was filmed in Australia, the lead in and countryside shots pass well for the Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia and West Virginia where the beginning of the story takes place and it adds a feeling of authentic realism to the movie. The battle scenes are very graphic and realistic. If you have ever served in combat be prepared to relive some of your own experiences because this movie will awaken those memories. The beginning of Saving Private Ryan has been surpassed by this movie's combat scenes.

You won't regret seeing this movie and buying it for your own collection.
