Difficult HVAC system to keep working
I have a chevy 2500 crew cab pickup with this automated HVAC system. I have replaced four Dorman 599-211's and every one of the damper operators. Had it to the Chevy mechanic to correct HVAC system codes. Yes they re not check engine lights, Lots of time spent researching what correct damper is required and putting them in is not easy. So I needed another controller for summer air conditioning and bought the 211XD. When I installed it I was surprised the hear dampers move and I had no set as prior models. Everything looked good for a few days and then it quit. I filed a warrantee claim and ordered another. Dorman is the only source and manufacturers suppy of OEM have runout. A day before the second one came the first one started working. And has been working ever since. So I have a spare HVAC unit for when it does go out again. Vollständige Rezension lesen

Great Replacement product....affordable price.
No longer having issues were my AC heat turns on automatically.
I installed the replacemenet part and havent had an issue with it.

Works like the factory unit. Two things that kinda bug me at first. One is the outside temp is only displayed when it is off. Factory changed to it when you was done adjusting temp. 5 stars! IT WORKS. The read out is very reflective if the sun is shining on it, so you have to "shade" it to read it, but it's better than the factory GM piece of garbage that was in there. At least I can adjust the heat in 2 seconds instead of 15 minutes. :)Vollständige Rezension lesen

Works great
Easy to install and it took just a couple minutes to set it self. It looks just like the factory unit. My A/C and heater now work as they should.

The unit is made Ok, the defrost tab sticks a little but I think working it a while may fix the issue
