HTC Wildfire

As a confirmed HTC user this is my 3rd of this brand. I have had a Dream and then a Magic. The Wildfire follows in a similar theme but with many of the faults ironed out. I find it very easy to use, it is perfectly sized and looks great. I use it as a reader, a web browser an Mp3 player and oh yes a phone. My one dislike is having to push a button on the top to wake it up, I find it quite an awkward movement when all else is touch screen. Overall I think its GREAT.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

A great lightweight smart phone.

Lightweight, looks good, easy to use. I am in the over 50 age category and I wanted to sell it on ebay after two days.... but then I allowed myself 7 days to get used to it and now think it is great. Oddly the one thing that seems most difficult is receiving calls. You have to drag your finger down the screen. That seems to work extremely well when viewing apps, photos or the internet but needs a different touch when receiving calls - one that I have yet to master as I seem to have missed more calls with this phone that I have done in my whole life! I particularly like the constantly updated weather forecasts for numerous locations and the free apps e.g. FreeCaddie for golf course distances. And it works too! By comparison with the i Phone, it is far lighter, more simple to use and considerably cheaper.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

HTC Wildfire phone

I decided it was time to join the age of smartphones after seeing what could be done with my son's Iphone4! My Vodaphone contract was not due for an upgrade, so it meant buying a phone. After reading reviews and asking around, the Wildfire seemed like a good option, as the Iphone 4 was much more expensive.
The phone was duly purchased from ebay and although it took a while to get used to the new functions, I really enjoy using it.
I don't use all the Apps to keep in touch with Facebook etc. but can check emails, text and phone and expect I will branch out to use more of the functions as I get used to it. The camera is also good quality and I have taken some good photos, sent them by email etc.
I particularly like the Google night sky App and the google maps, which I have used to find routes. The News feature is also useful and I spend quite a lot of time "playing" with the phone to find other features.
A good job I am retired and have time to do all this, but also feel it keeps me in touch with the younger generation!
All in all, a good purchase and i am glad i took the plunge.

Wildfire is not so on fire

The phone has many features, being htc the os is pretty good and theres an immense amount of apps available - both free and paid for, however the phones performance ie cpu and memory is limiting compared to some of the models in the current htc lineup, for example the camera is not great for clarity and colour. The video records pretty poor quality audio in loud environments, ie at a club is a nono - you'll just get distortion, some of the phones ive owned in the past have been better for those situations. Sometimes i record videos, then when i go to view them they dont work because the phone ran out of memory during recording, the phone doesnt warn you that the memory is low. You have to kill (shutdown) apps all the time as the battery and memory gets used up pretty quick. Its best to turn of wifi most of the time or the batt will run out. Its best to charge it before going out for the evening to give you the best chance of it lasting out till the next day should you choose not to go home ;) I like the fact that for a smart phone its pretty compact and the construction seems rugged.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Lots of features for the price

The Wildfire has a lot of features but suffers in comparison to the HTC Desire which has a bigger screen and a much better resolution.

Sometimes the screen is almost consumed with the virtual keyboard and it is hard to see what you are typing.

It is quite easy to drop due to its compact size.

However for the price it is a great first smartphone to get you into the world of Apps, Maps and Internet anywhere.

HTC Wildfire Review

I have been needing a new phone for over a year now so it was long over due.. I really fell in love with The Wildfire, only problem was that I wanted it in black, and it was only avalible in red, mocca and white where I come from :C

So like always I went to ebay for all the stuff that I just cant get here or for cheaper prices. There was alot of them in there so it was hard at first to know who I should buy from. So ofc I bought the one that was cheapest.. Cus let's face it.. Im not made of money :/.. I was a bit worried if the mobile would work in Denmark but the GSM numbers 850/900/1800/1900 was the same as here so it looked like it would.. So I ordered it :)

I got it pretty fast eventho of all the snow around christmas so I was pretty happy about that.. I VERY slowly opened it cus I was a bit scared it wouldnt be black but Mocca.. BUT !! It was black ;-) And I almost made love to it right there it was so pretty hehe.. I charged it up for some hours.. even tho my boyfriend wanted to play with it right away.. boys ey!!

It was perfect.. :D really beautiful design and it did look like an expensive phone :P hehe.. I havent had a touchscreen before tho so it took abit of time to learn how it all worked, but I guess it's like that with all new phones..

It dident have Danish letters tho so I had to download that for it, when i write text. The phone is english but for me that is fine cus I understand it all, but for someone that dosent understand it very well, probably not the right phone. I dont know if it is possible to download so the phone is danish but I havent been apple to find that.
Also the phone was not set up to resive mms.. all I got was an sms saying that I had resived an mms and I could downlowd it.. I tryed but it dident work.. If I want to resive pictures I will have to order it from my phone company 3.. But I don't wanna do that cus I feel like that's to expensive..So I was a bit sad that the mms wasent in the phone. So gonna have to live without it..

But all in all everything works great in the phone, it's fast and easy to use after you get a hang of it. If I had to do it all over again, I would :D It's a great phone and I love it 3

OK FOR THE PRICE

The wildfire in a word is cheap but has all the functions of the dearer versions albeit slower due to the half paced processor, the screen is good and works well the only real cons to this mobile is its slow to switch on and the battery life is very poor ,,,,saying that i recently purchased a high capacity battery 1500mh to the 1200mh and its last 3 days of normal use.

To sum up for £200 its worth every penny and has app share which is good but its not even close to the iphone or indeed the desire so if you want flawless internet with speed and grace spend £400 .

HTC Wildfire Mobile Phone

Great for a budget phone.

Can do most (not all eg can't do live wallpapers) things other androids phones can do. Even has a 5mpix camera.

The only problem is the screen. Very fuzzy, low resolution - but that's is how they keep the costs down for this phone. Everything else is great about this phone. (Try to see this phone in person to see if you can live with the fuzzy screen before you buy.)Vollständige Rezension lesen...

HTC Wildfire mobile phone

I bought this phone for my wife, she was anti txt, anti email, anti everything on her old phone. Now she txts, emails, Facebook updates etc. She loves this phone, its feel, its size, its screen. Everything is so easy for her to use. I have the HTC Desire HD, the only differences are speed, screen size, and memory, other than that there is not much difference.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

my htc wildfire phone

i bought this phone as my son had one and i liked the look and feel of it. Its a great phone but a little too touch sensitive at times. Its easy to use and i love the big screen . i would definately upgrade to another htc . i would like the keyboard letters to be bit bigger as people with fatish fingers ie ME can hit 2 letters at once and that makes a text a bit difficult to understand if i havent read through it first and corrected it lol overall IM A VERY HAPPY BUNNY lolVollständige Rezension lesen...
