Overall a decent phone.

It is a good phone and easy to use in some ways but in others it is not.

More useful for people with a technical background.

Camera is good, takes some great pictures.

Processor speed is fast enough to run programs with ease.

Good as a backup if your original phone breaks down aswell.

Great for people of 'an age'

Bought for my mum (56) and delighted to say she is getting on very well with it. Easily readable (no magnifying glass needed) high contrast with white text on black background for most of the o/s, for the first time ever she can manage to read and write texts. I love it

My boyfriend gave me it as a birthday present, I love it, easy to use, thin, modern. Ok do you want that I write more, I like it just that.

Great handset let down by an operating system aimed squarely at kids.

I bought this phone because I has persevered with Windows Phone 6.5 and thought that this would do all that the previous phone had done only better. The reality is somewhat different.

What I have is a very good handset (as you would expect from HTC) with a great dislpay and good sound. The WP7 is very slick, easy to use and configure and is probably second to none if you are into social networking, gaming on Xbox live or music.

Sounds great - only I wanted it to syncronise with Microsoft Outlook, run co-pilot sat nav and run the audible app, all of which you could do on WP6.5. It does exactly none of these, not even interfacing with one of it's own Microsoft programs, an action which all other phone operating systems seem to achieve.

What Microsoft have done here is re-written their phone operating system for kids. This is the fourth wondows phone device I have bought but it will be the last. Don't get me wrong, this phone will be exactly what some people are looking for. My kids think it is great - but a word to Microsoft. An amazing interface experience, great product and value for money

I bought this product as I wanted an affordable smartphone with a lot of features, and this phone certainly delivers. The Windows Phone 7 operating systems user interface is simple to use and looks great. Its fast and responsive, has loads of features and changes the image of the tiles in the home screen to simply show you new information. The phone itself is again faultless, with a 5MP camera and all the features you would expect from a new smartphone. Cracking little phone. Well pleased.

Great phone. The windows phone 7 operating system is excellent, and is scheduled to be updated towards the end of 2011 (free update, very simple).

The phone is a nice size, not too large.
<br>The screen is very bright and can easily be seen outdoors on a sunny day.

Bluetooth works seamlessly with both my tomtom and my incar handsfree.

a windows revoloution

Firstly may I say that the handset is very sleek. Having come from a previous windows mobile I couldn't believe just how different the operating system is, everything is so easy to use they really have thought about how users use there phones. Sure there are a few functions from previous winmo phones that I miss, but WP7 is very new and having read up on the internet I believe that a few functions will be re-instated in future updates. the screen is very bright and so sensitive to the touch. Since I bought the phone I truly haven't been able to put it down! The battery life is a bit rubbish but I think that is true of all modern smartphones, nothing a spare battery cant solve!

Verdict

The Windows Phone 7 experience can basically be summed with: "…but it's so nice".

You can use that phrase after any criticisms or daggers, and it won't ring hollow. Windows Phone 7 is just lovely to use. It feels personal and responsive.
