Excellent product, works perfectly!
Excellent product exactly as described.
I connected this card to an LSI SAS 9701-8i SATA controller card, installed it in a new UnRaid server, and it's been running perfectly.
This card came with version 2.06 firmware. Even though it worked perfectly, I decided to update the firmware to HP's latest version 2.10. Worked flawlessly. This procedure is not for beginners, however. It was necessary to use a live version of Linux (bootable USB stick) and complete the firmware update procedure through the command line. Again, definitely not for beginners.

Awesome expansion capabilities!!
Expand your HDD by connecting this Hp card ti an HBA and run the drives either in RAID or pass through mode, even works on consumer PCs. Does not need an HP server to work for sure
