Great Expectations DVD

I’m on a Dickens roll since watching the musical Oliver 2 weeks ago. Happy to find this film (read the book in HS). It lacked the humor of David Copperfield but very entertaining.

Great movie!

This is the version my mom had been looking for. I haven’t read the book yet, but it’s a compelling story with a good soundtrack and the charm that comes with all black and white movies. I’ve watched it several times now. Great buy! Vollständige Rezension lesen

My favorite of all ❤

This is the original black and white version. Absolutely the very best telling of this story. Just as compelling today as it was catching it back in the day when some station was playing all black and whites one day. ❤Vollständige Rezension lesen

Great Expectations, by Charles Dickens

The film ran without a glitch and the rendition captures something of what Dickens had in mind when he wrote the work.
