Great World War II survival story. The characters are so real, I forgot after a while it was an animated film. Heart wrenching story of children caught in the horror of the atomic bomb dropped on Japan.

Overflowing with honest characterizations of ordinary people suffering the overwhelming tragedy of a corrupt government"s greed and lust for power.

A gorgeous, extremely sad movie

This is a beautifully made yet extremely sad movie. It's worth watching to understand more of Japan's history. Studio Ghibli hasn't produced a single movie yet that I've disliked. Great movie, good price

It was a really good movie. I was hoping for a bit more dialogue, the movie is eerily quiet. The score was beautiful, and the animation quality was average for studio ghibli.
