Great movie - won Academy award for best picture of 2003 and 5 other nominations, but DVD has issues.
I think there was a manufacturing problem with this DVD. I originally checked it out from my local library and it wouldn't play correctly; it stopped after showing the opening credits, and then went gray after 107. When I got the new disc, it played the previews, but then stopped again. It also glitched a couple of times, though it played through the whole movie. It's not my player because I watched other movies for hours afterwards with no problem.

History on display
This little bit of history illuminates the good which can be accomplished by a few good men. The need is with us again so I say , Edward R Murrow where are you today? This movie is excellent! Great Info About McCarthy Era!
It was interesting to see the background of the coverage of the McCarthy era! I did not know that he also targeted the media. I would have liked the movie to continue longer after the events.

Amazingly well done performance. Edward R. Murrow is portrayed with an exactness that is almost scary by David Strathairn . Watch history unfold. Watch Edward R. These movies are telling a history of what happened an was seen in another country how bad the war was .What soldiers went through . Makes you think hope it doesn't happen again.
