Great for laughs.

Already had this in video format so decided to get it as DVD have watched many times over the years & never tire of it. All actors are brilliant & makes yo laugh out loud.

Superior English Comedy

Believable characters in a believable situation. The comedy is gentle (no dirt) and the whole shows are a joy to watch. Mr Briers at his best with a host of excellent supporting actors/actresses.

DATED, BEAUTIFUL, OLD FASHIONED ENTERTAINMENT AND HUMOUR.

I knew what to expect as I had watched most of the episodes 40 odd years ago, but it occurred to me that I hadn't seen them all and those I had were over 40 years ago, so I treated myself and have not regretted it. Great Value

A great value box set of a much loved comedy series from my childhood in the 1970’s. Highly recommend.

Self sufficient fun!

Situation comedy that stands the test of time. Thoroughly engaging and entertaining with excellent scripts and brilliant character actors. For me, it more than rivals much of today’s so called comedy.

Good old fashioned humour

This series was ahead of it's time. One of the best ever made and a joy to watch, especially with so many cooking programmes and football on TV at the moment.

Priceless humour

Wonderful. The comedy is gentle and without the pyrotechnics of verbal wit but the endearing psychologies make it sink in deeper than I remember it from childhood. It has philosophical undertones which give the rest buoyancy.Vollständige Rezension lesen

A real period piece, and still funny

Excellent ensemble acting. Great characters. And a real period piece. Great for binge watching, especially for the over 50s!
