not nearly as good as the book

Having read the book first, I found the movie to be disappointing. It was hard to follow the changes in the plot line as it veered back and forth in time and character sequences. My husband did not read the book and found the story line almost impossible to follow. Also, overall, the movie itself was very dark and difficult to see clearly. Atmospheric modern thriller

I'd seen this movie before, but wanted it for my library. Any used DVD that works without incident rates 5 stars to me. Incidentally, I also recommend the "Honest Trailer" on "Gone Girl" available on YouTube.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Must watch several times to really appreciate this movie

You just can't imagine the end of this movie, you think you know what is going on and then the truth is so surreal there is no way any one, in their right mind, could ever figure it out. Very well done, true to the book.

Gone but not forgotten

Suspenseful, with twists in plot to maintain the tension. Great acting and cinematography. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a real thriller.
