A bit overly sentimental in parts. But characters more believable than The earlier Gettysburg helped by better acting performances.

Brilliant film
I love Gettysburg and have seen it on PBS America several times, so I thought I would treat myself - and no adverts. This is one of my favourite films ever, all the characters are memorable, and the action scenes and quieter moments are equally moving, plus the music is brilliant too. Five star , fantastic , if you don't see it you have missed the best ever civil war films ever made!
