Gigabyte Trusted to work hard.
Gigabyte is known for its workable boards. No exception for this one. I have been eyeing this board for some time in the past. Mainly for its features and gaming capabilities. I got this board to replace another board (not a gigabyte board) that had failures which could not be resolved. The GA-Z97X-Gaming board work fine from the start. I worked with many boards before. Some people would say that their choice of board is better than others. Like New MB, Utilizes components from equivalent board that failed after years of 24/7 use.
This directly replaces a Gigabyte motherboard with a failed memory channel. It now serves as the basis for an MS Essentials Server.

Great performance at a low cost
Has great sound and video just using an enabled HD cpu. Great value for the money.

Gigabyte GA-797-gaming 7 LGA 1150 motherboard a winner.
This is a great board. It supports 6 hard drives and two SSD drives (M2) and has plenty of slots for cards.

Awesome upgrade to a previously configured system
This replaced the Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming-3. The additional features and upgrades are well worth the money for a direct replacement
