Country Life
GET LOW is difficult to categorise, a funny light hearted drama, based on the true story of a hermit who decided to throw his own living funeral, to see what people thought and said about him. Combined with a raffle to see who should inherit his farm. All the secrets in the little town come spilling out. The script is perfect, the film sharply edited, but it is a slow burn almost to the end. Great details. We had interval and my husband and I said "why is this not boring, it ought to be but it's not" - we were anxious to see the end. It is a very different well layered story, fascinating and well told. Robert Duvall is perfect in this role, and Bill Murray together with Sissy Spacek and the younger actors adding their magic. We ended with a big satisfied sigh - that was a story not to be missed. 2010 - 103 mins. Loved it.Vollständige Rezension lesen
