Received this item quickly
This came quickly and appears to be fine. However, there is far less "bonus" material than on the other season (1-6) sets and the menu comes up quite differently, leaving me to wonder why. I simply wanted a copy of the season, so this fills the bill. That said, it would be interesting to compare it to one bought in a local store- when they arrive.The inside cover was also quite wrinkled-doesn't affect the discs; but makes one question why... Easy to fault but compelling to watch
Many concurrent stories set in different locales makes for a "let's hurry before we're interrupted" pace to the film-making. In season five the dragon queen character in weakened by inadequate writing. The setting and new story for the youngest Stark girl seems overly contrived and poorly paced. The jeopardy faced by Queen mother Lannister seems likewise overwrought and ridiculously unlikely based on her previous astute and clever manipulations. But overall the grand over-arching story marches on and may someday (season 9? season 17?) reach a climax. As always, I'm disappointed that a "season" is only ten episodes.
The attention to visual details remains excellent and the acting (with a few exceptions - perhaps only the dragon mother among the major players) well directed and well done. The story-writing/telling retains the undercurrent of tension that we've come to expect if not embrace.
The DVD set I bought ten days ago on Ebay (well before the official USA release) has occasional pixel-blur and transitional stuttering - perhaps these discs suffer from black-market or grey market parentage. It probably should be a requirement that GOT be watched on Blu-ray anyway - the effort put into creating this bar-raising grand-scale dauntless epic-adventure deserves to be noticed by viewing via the best platform available.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Action packed (some NFW) but very entertaining
Great series based on a great story. warning season 6 is dark, not psychologically, it's literally dark, low ambient lighting. If seen negative product revues based on the lighting, but it sets the appropriate mode of despair.Vollständige Rezension lesen

One of, if not the best Season. A lot happens in this one. The last episode is unpredictable, and episode 8 is the creepiest episode of the entire show. This season is like an emotional roller coaster: happy, sad, anger, relief, frustration, excitement, horror. GAME OF THRONES SEASON 5
IT'S A GREAT SHOW OBVIOUSLY. THIS IS A NEW PACKAGING, BUT AT THE VERY START OF THE FIRST EPISODE THERE WAS A SLIGHT PIXEL EFFECT AS IF THIS WAS A COPY. ANOTHER QUESTIONABLE AREA TOWARDS THE END OF ONE OF THE LAST EPISODES WHERE AT THE START OF THE EPISODE FOR LIKE 10 MINUTES, THE PICTURE IS STAGGERING. The plot just keeps thickening.
Love the series. Like others have previously commented the overall series has a lot of nudity. Frankly, speaking I think if they removed 85% of it, it would have no effect on the story line at all. Although I must say, it's decreasing with each season, for which I say "thank goodness". The plot is still great in season 5, and the episodes seem to fly, much like the dragon. Game of thrones is addicting

On Dragon Fire
Talk about a show that pulls no punches. Nobody is safe. Nothing is predictable and
every second of the show is compelling. The characters are all interesting. Each, in his
or her own way,. a unique and complex individual. The special effects are outstanding
as are the depictions of the various castles and landscapes.
Dragons , White walkers, wargs, giants, and hordes of walking dead. What more
can ask for. This series is absolutely brilliant.
My favorite actor is Peter Dinklage. His performance is beyond perfection.
If you enjoyed The Lord of the Rings trilogy, you will love this one.
Be warned , though, if your squeamish about nudity, sex and violence,
you might be in for a shock.
