A good combination of Ghost Recon and COD4

Although there is nothing really outstanding about this game, the story line is pretty compelling and you get some cool new features like using unmanned robots to fight ahead of your squad (one of them looks like Jonny-5 with a .30 cal rotating gun on it....hahaha priceless!)

The major down point that i found is that vehicles in this game are harder to control than the warthog from HALO 1...and they can be destroyed. This game does give you the idea that you'll be working with squad members to complete objectives, but be prepared to do a great deal of the work on your own. And dont bother trying to save the downed soldiers, they just get replaced shortly after one dies.

If your looking for a First person shooter that delivers on most of what it promises, then this game is a prime pick.

A good FPS For next gen

If you enjoy FPS Games then Fuel of war is at least a rental to see if this one is for you. The game's story is interesting too with the worls oil supply
running out, The superpowers are now fighting over the last drops. The game plays like the battlefield games where you must control points on a map.
But as you do this you push the frontline, or where these points are closer to your opponents side. being this can go back and forth forever, In MP Your side wins if you control all points or when the timer runs out ,seeing who has the most kills. The single player game is more story driven and captured points can't be taken away by enemy. You just must defeat them any way you choose. In Frontlines there are many ways to do this as drones are included which can be operated by remote control to seek out targets. Add to this planes , tanks, jeeps and helicopters like in previous battlefield games and you have a pretty good idea how this game plays. Alot like BF2 But with added remote control weapons and destructible envirements.

Could have been a real competitor!

For it's age, this is a great game! In my opinion, this should have given CoD a run for it's money! Game play is simple, and straight forward. Capture/destroy objective, repeat. You can even still play online! Hopefully this game will get a reboot, soon!Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Halo 3 -esque vehicle combat with great gameplay.

I really liked the feel, pacing, and variety of this game. I enjoyed Halo 3's vehicle combat sections, and Frontlines had a similar feel, although the vehicles are much more balanced here.
Many of the objectives in the game can be done in a variety of ways. Tank blocking the road? Drive a remote controlled car in and blow it up under the tank. Prefer a stealthier approach? Sneak in another route, and plant some C4. Rather shoot it from a safe distance? Lock on with an RPG and watch the rocket fly!
The weapon switching system is very easy to use and intuitive. You hold the Y button and use the analog stick to choose which gun you want. This makes for easy switching on the fly, which you'll certainly have to do in the heat of battle.
Not a AAA big name title, but definitely worth the little bit of $$ you can probably find it for (I got it new for $37 about 2 weeks after it came out). Similar to Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3 as far as not super realistic, one hit kills, as well as regenerating health.
Check it out!

Excellent game overall. 100's of Hrs. of entertainment

The single campaign for this game is rather short, but still loads of entertainment as it will also train you well for the best part of this game....THE MULTIPLAYER. I've played this game for almost 10 months now(until my console scratched it up...which is why I'm buying it for a second time.)

The reason the online play is so good, is because of the VEHICLES, the DRONES, etc, etc. There's also a good number of maps you can visit, including the extra maps available for download for a reasonable price(especially if you want giant maps where you can get in dogfights or scorch the earth from above!

You can either play as a squad, or you can roam on your own and pick off whomever you choose(on the opposing side.) All online play is capturing points/objectives, pushing the frontlines back into enemy territory until the last point is captured. I love this game.

When it first came out, the servers were jam-packed full of players. Those numbers have dropped off a bit, since all of the other Xbox360 gme releases, so sometimes it can be a bit frustrating that you can't always play your favorite map with a huge population of players. But you can always create your own session and invite whomever you choose.

This game is well worth the money...especially if you're getting it used(or new) from Ebay. It appears the online play will be a round for a little while longer. But I've noticed recently that most of the players who are still playing online, are pretty good. But that's not always the case. Just buy it and try it!

Enjoy.

Great game - good graphics - 50 player xbox live

I love this game, not as good as COD4, but it is a very good game nonetheless

It has excellent graphics, good single player gameplay (lasts longer than cod4), and up to 50 player online play which is really good for gameplay when you get on live and get a big game going. I would say its not as good as COD4, but if you already have COD4, than get this game.

The only problems i find is that there seems to be some minor glitches in the game (you can find them on the internet or youtube), but nothing that really stops you from getting through levels. The controls for driving/flying are kind of awkward and take a bit of getting used to, but other than that, its a good game. Playing it for weeks now and i still love it the same as the day i bought it.

It's not worth $50+, but if you can get this game for under $40...go for it!

Fun Overlooked FPS games still online

I bought this game because its kind of a prequel to the game Homefront as its made by the same company .I was very surprised at how good this game is .When this game came out it was overlooked due to the massive popular Call of Duty games. The game plays just like The battlefield games . You take over and hold positions on the map until one side has taken over the whole map or the time ends. There's a free map and conquer mode to download on xbox live too.online you can drive tanks and all kinds of armoured vehicles . Also you can fly planes and attack helicopters. I didn`t think anyone would still be online playing this game but 3 yrs after its release i can still find a game no problem. The graphics are in between Black Ops and Battlefield in quality and the Maps are huge . The solo campaign is fairly epic and very atmospheric . My only gripe with the game is the control layout is a little bit different to other FPS but once you play for an hour its like second nature . If you see this game for $20.00 or less snap it up as its way better than anything you can download . This game makes Breach on xbox arcade look pathetic .Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Frontlines: Fuels of War (Xbox 360)

Frontlines is not a great game by any means, but, it is a pretty good attempt at what Battlefield 2 for the pc was (BF2 for the console sucked).

If you like this kind of multiplayer warfare kind of game, there is something here for you to like. Lots of vehicles (altho the ground vehicles dont have a good feel to them), big maps, and up to 50 players online.

The solo campaign is basically practice mode for going live.

Good game, if you devote some time to the game, some of it's fun stuff will become apparent to you. I'd give it an 8.0 out of 10

Not bad , easy to mix up with another game.

Great game. I would love to see the next game. If you added a weapon pick up ability, I believe this game would give MW2 competition. The game play is really cool ,almost like being in an online match with a mission. The online game with the heavy vehicles adds a realistic battle mode to the game play. Even with the different control setup that Halo & Call of Duty games, it is still easy to pick and start playing to figure out. Fun game!Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Frontlines: Fuel of War

Frontlines: Fule of War is similar to other games out there(Call of Duty, Battlefield). I liked how the single player mode gives you challenging missions and isn't short like most games are. It challenges your knowledge of your own abilities in the game to finish the missions. The graphics are not as advanced as in other games you see. But, they are better than how games used to be a couple years ago. The game offers a variety of weapons and character classes. I loved the feature of the remote control weapons(mini-tank, min-helicopter, etc.). These weapons actually depict real weapons used by our military today and serve very interesting when it comes to online or system link play. Overall I was extremely satisfied with my purchase of the game. I didn't know anything about the game before buying it and I love it. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes military games. Oh ya, and be prepared to die a few times in the game. It isn't as easy as Call of Duty.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
