Fluke 8050A Digital Multimeter

Well worth the price.

A good deal for second bench meter, db function is a rare find on most DVM's. Downfall is batteries cost more then the meter!

It’s a Fluke

I used this model professionally in the 80’s and I wanted one for my home bench. These are tanks and still a great DMM if you don’t need the fancy features newer models have.

I needed another 8050A, have one already but need two to capture measurements at two different locations using db REF Z functions.

Unit is of outdated technology, but I wanted a benchtop unit and for the price it is a good deal/ The LCD display does leave a lot to be desired but I found a link on UTube where an upgrade can be easily fabricated to replace the existing LCD display.Vollständige Rezension lesen

The 8050A units are notorious for weak LCD displays. The first unit I received the display was not working at all. The second one I received the display is weak, but readable. If you do a search on the net, you can find information on replacing the display.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Great value in a vintage benchtop meter.

Accurate, Easy to use, durable and versatile. The weak point of these meters are the batteries, but only on the meters with the battery option.. Without good batteries they will not work, even when plugged in to the wall plug. Batteries are an easy fix as they can be replaced with commonly available NI-Cad batteries. The meter is needed addition to my repair bench.

Didn't come with the handle but wasn't needed. Display is bright with no apparent defects and calibration is reasonable.

Converted 2 of Flukes to AC only by removing batteries, using LM7805. Happy with results. FEDEX left package at back door subject to rain. No cover
