Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (Blu-ray, 2004)

Best movie to watch on Blu-Ray

This movie is so well done and has rich engaging characters. The Blu-Ray version has an extra 30 minutes of content as well. From the front cover it looks like anime, but it is actually mostly CGI, and well done CGI at that. Story is in itself excellent, but you will get more out of it if you played Final Fantasy 7 as this is a sequel story.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Why does everyone hate this movie?

I still really enjoy Advent Children. Yeah, it's light on plot and some of the original Japanese script didn't get translated well to English (they will never live down dilly dally, shilly shally. Never). BUT, if you're looking for a movie about the beloved characters from Final Fantasy VII rendered in the most advanced graphics for its time (circa 2005) -- eyecandy, essentially -- with epic fights and A M A Z I N G music, then this movie is for you.

(Also, this is the "Complete" version, which was released in 2009. There are scenes added or changed slightly which I feel makes the movie more enjoyable. Great movie for the FFVIII fans or just lovers of really good anime. Helps if you know something of the story of course.

Extended version of Advent Children is awesome!

This is extended version of Advent Children with a few longer scenes and some bonus content. Worth the buy for any FF7 fan. Thank you so much.
