Really nicely finished

This was a straight swap for the plain neck plate that came on my strat. The F logo makes all the difference!

Fender neck plate

Perfect fit

Fitted onto a new Fender -spec stratocaster body with no fuss whatsoever,
good quality and looks the part

Pretty accurate.

As near as you are going to get to an actual vintage 1960s stamped "Big F" neck plate at a fraction of the price. This may have been a one-off stamping or a "manufactured" piece as I have seen a few Gilmour and "Jimi" plates for sale.

The serial number font may not be as bang on accurate for the expert guitar historian or more perfectionist among us but is very close so as to be virtually indistinguishable to the average but informed observer.

The plate did look slightly warped at the corners as if the neck screws on the guitar it came from had been overtightened in the past. This would probably happen to a neckplate that had been removed and replaced several times over a 50 year period if it were an actual vintage plate, so even more authentic looking!

I wasn't particularly looking for a specific artist serial as I just wanted to make a nice and very close Japanese '68 / '69 Strat copy look a bit more authentic in a Woodstock kind of way and this popped up!

At the price that I paid (under £20), I am more than happy with the result and with the other period modifications, the guitar looks absolutely spiffing!.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Fender (genuine) neckplate!

A good quality fender replacement. However they're no as thick as they used to be, but still an excellent decal and chromium-plated neckplate!
