Great product for portable practice
The rubber backing keeps the pad from sliding around. I wasn't sure what to expect from the top side -- the drumming side -- but it has great bounce and absorption, making it a pretty good simulation of the real thing. I use this pad to practice Taiko drumming (for sideways drumming, prop up a pillow on a chair and set the pad against the pillow). Just the right size to sit on top of a 14" snare drum
I like the size of this practice pad, and the materials it's made of are very high quality. If it's possible to wear one of these out, it would take a lifetime of dedication.

Perfect and Right on Time!!!!!

This pad has great rebound and is heavy enough that it does not travel or bounce when pounding out a beat. Get one.
