Elvis lives again:
The Elvis comeback special is a unique look at Elvis when he was in his prime and the way the older generation remembers him. Though it's only a dvd my 4k system and Dolby Atmos/DTS-X sound system upscales the picture and sound to Blue ray quality. So show it to your grandchildren and revel in a past memory. The King at his best!
I always loved the Elvis '68 Comeback Special, but haven't seen it for years. I still have my VHS of it, but the quality of the tape isn't the best. I bought two DVD's recently & the price is worth it. You get great clarity of the video & audio, not to mention you get fabulous solo & theatrical stage performances of Elvis, especially my favorite, the Gospel performance. The other DVD was a birthday gift for my 85 year old dad who loved the music in it. PS: My dad was also in the same Army barracks with Elvis at Fort Hood, Texas.

Great musical experience with a legendary performer
I was a fan of Elvis during his early years, not so much during his latter years. I saw the '68 Comeback TV Special on tv, along with 40 million other viewers. He was fantastic, doing his old hits, jamming with his band, playing to the ladies in the front row. Mediocre with some good features with the DVD.
If it was not remastered and segments added that wasn't in the original concert when it was televised in 1968. It was entertaining except for the added segments. So I sent it to one of cousins in Alabama as she liked Elvis concerts specials and most of his movies. She wasn't completely satisfied with this DVD of his come back tour.

Don't waste your money, this isn't a movie it all about the old songs not the good ones.
All it is about singing and playing a guitar. The characters aren't entering they dance around and that's about it. I like Elvis's music, in this movie, I thought it would have more of his good songs. Which it didn't. Vollständige Rezension lesen
