I purchased this for a friend who loved Elvis and has quite a collection of his movies, however, she did not have this one. We watched it together, she loved it and was so happy I got it for her. Favorite movie about Elvis' life ever!
I remember watching this when I was a kid growing up after it came out, and watched it over and over through my teen years as I was a huge Elvis fan. This movie tells the story of the King of rock through the eyes of Kurt Russell.. At times you forget that you are watching someone else play Elvis.... Not Worth The Money Due To Poor Quality
Poor quality DVD. Portions of the disc skipped, no sound could be heard on portions of the disc. Parts of the DVD that you didn’t have to forward thru were okay and entertaining but poor quality produced DVD’s are not what you expect when you purchase a DVD, if you are going to sell a DVD of this quality then tell buyers what to expect. Nice nostalgic movie.
The cast and production were very good. Originally, this was a made for television two-part movie. I enjoyed it in 1979 and enjoyed it now.

Kurt Russell DVD of “Elvis” fabulous acting/imitation
The Kurt Russell version of Elvis is incredibly good - very close imitation! Glad I purchased the DVD. As an older movie, I doubt it will be streamed.
