A classic road movie from the early seventies, in every sense. This was a time when America made true to life, gritty films. Other films that come to mind are, Busting, Thunderbolt & Lightfoot, Two Lane Blacktop, Vanishing point, etc, to name but a few! As opposed to the Crap they churn out nowadays!

As it says, small cop on big bike

Saw this film when it came out and loved it. It was never available in european region format until 2003.

For his only film the producer uses colour and black and white to good effect.

Robert Blake known better for his role as 'Baretta' is brilliant as traffic cop 'Big John' Wintergreen. He is only 5'4" in hieght.

Supposedly a black comedy, with some cracking one liners.

Unexpected ending, but I wont spoil it.

I LIKE THIS FILM, NOT JUST FOR THE STORY LINE, OR THE GREAT CAMERA ANGLES, AND LOCATION SCENERY, BUT THE LEATHER COP JACKETS . VERY COOL LOOKING, i would like to know the manafacturer who made them for the movie! classic 70s cop film better than anything youve seen

saw this when i was 17 in 1983 . brillant but sad ending to great performances from everybody. Undoubtely the best cop film ever made . The final shot of John Wintergreen has to be the most memoriable seen in screen history. Just WATCH IT now.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
