All OK!!! The metal clip is gets in the way if you adjust the tension to a lower setting but you just remove it and works great.

Great British Product.
This product is so much better than the cheap imports which either don't work or give up after a short while. The design doesn't seem to have changed for decades and it is all the better for it.
