Poor Quality...

I actual got two of these because I did not know how sharp they would stay and last. But sharpness wasn't an issue, they both broke and shattered under very lite and careful use. Now have a different brand and it works great.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Not high quality

The drill isn't very sharp and had difficulty drilling soft metal such as die cast. This makes it difficult to drill straight as you need to press harder. It also means the hole is bigger than the drill so the tap doesn't make the threads wide enough for the screw to hold.

The tap itself is ok except it doesn't start making proper threads until about 2mm from the end. This means you have to drill 2mm deeper than your screw length. At this scale 2mm is a lot of room and means shallow holes are not possible ie not having 8mm available for a 5mm hole.

I'm sure it has it's uses, it's just not a premium product.Vollständige Rezension lesen

The DuBro wobble.

Drill bit and tap had a very noticeable wobble during use. Had trouble starting drill in center punch hole. Won't get this brand again.

2/56 tap and drill set.

I have 3 sets because I never can remember where I put them. Use a clear plastic bag, for storage, and write in big numbers 2/56 SET. I use a lot of 2/56 thread in my model boats.

Good for what it was designed for.

I've used the tool several times now in hobby type of work and it did what it was designed for and should last a long time used under these type's of conditions.

Useful tool for small scale drilling and tapping.

Used properly, this drill and tap set does exactly what it's supposed to do. Quality is good. I don't know how durable it is, as I have only used it a couple times since I received it. So far, so good. Is it "entertaining"? I suppose so, to the hobbyist who is using it.Vollständige Rezension lesen

I make custom hot wheels and this tap set helps.

Very easy to use.

Durable if used correctly. Good set for diecast restoration

This set works very well but you need to be careful with both pieces as they can break if you abuse them.
