My wife and I both your British comedies. We were very pleased as soon as we watched the first episode. Although it is a comedy, the story lines are excellent. Fascinating study in human relationships

Fascinating story of a man who is skilled and meticulous in medicine and human nature. Interesting and funny characters make up the community. Personal relationships ebb and flow throughout. Doc Martin - summed up all in one word. Definitely a doctor you will remember!

Not only does Doc Martin know "what's what" when it comes to medicine and what is best for his patients, he also has a side of him that doesn't try to get too close to his patients yet tells them like it is! Even with his issues with blood and a dog that insists he belongs to him, along with all the towns people ... Large, Al, Morena, and the schoolteacher that catches his eye, Louisa. Interesting British Soap Opera

So much better than American TV

SO much better than American shows it isn't funny. Atmosphere, Acting, plot line.
ONLY CAUTION: Don't visit Port Wenn. Too many people get hurt there. :-)
