Fun for the entire family! Cute costumes to collect forever!

I bought this game for my 11 year old sister after watching a couple video reviews on YouTube and reading reviews online. The game seemed to be fun for all ages and looked cool with the multitude of Disney costumes.

After playing through the game for a couple hours, I have come to the conclusion that Disney Universe is a mashup of Little Big Planet (which is also on PS3) and the LEGO series. It's a simple formula of small puzzles and teamwork exercises built into the levels so that everyone playing can have a part in the game.

The things I liked about the game is that many times players can be cut out of the camera view and can be lost in out of sight. Like in Little Big Planet, if the player cannot return back onto the screen, they die. However, in Disney Universe, the player does "die" but are not penalized... they merely teleport quickly where the other players are located and resumes play seamlessly.

The interface of the game continues its bouncy squares look that other Disney games have adopted (Disney Sing-it or Toy Story 3) so if you are familiar with the layout of those games, you will feel right at home with Disney Universe.

If you are obsessed with collecting all the costumes and leveling them up, Disney Universe makes it very enjoyable to acquire and collect costumes from all different parts of the Disney World. Depending on where you buy the game, there are exclusive costumes that you can download for free. Also, Disney is planning on releasing more costumes at a price (the Disney Villains DLC is out currently).

Overall, this game is great if you have kids that love Disney. If you don't already have Little Big Planet or the Lego series, the formula for the game can seem kind of dull. However, the promise of more costumes and running around in your favorite character's costume is hilariously fun!

I give this game 4 stars out of 5 because the amount of polish and fun factor that this game provides but because it's a game that's been said and done by other games it's not a completely fresh idea.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

We all love playing it

My kids love playing this game, and it is teaching them how team work helps in the game! I have to admit as a mom I don't mind playing it with them either!

My 4 year old daugher and I both love this game AWESOME worth the money!!!

This game is so fun, my daughter who just turned 4 is better than me on it. This was made for all ages so if your contemplating about getting it for your child DON'T because he or she will love it and its perfectly aged for all ages. And like I said its fun and challenging for the parent (ME) who doesn't play video games much LMAO

Disney Universe!

Anything Disney to me is great. I have played the demo version on the PS3 and now I get to play the entire game with my son! I cannot wait! I love and know all things Disney.
