A Classic Remade

Funny man Jim Carrey stars in this remake of the classic children's tale Directed by Robert Zemeckis (The Polar Express). This latest release was originally presented in Digital 3-D and was the first Disney movie in IMAX 3-D.

The story of Scrooge is well know by all and this latest version stays true to the original plot.

Carey plays 4 roles in this film, he plays Ebenezer Scrooge as well as the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come.

Additional Cast includes: Gary Oldman, Cary Elwes, Colin Firth, Bob Hoskins, Robin Wright Penn, Ryan Ochoa, and Molly C. Quinn.

Disney's A Christmas Carol

This timeless classic tale is told the Disney way. Disney puts their own unique style on this story but they don’t verge off of it very much or at least I don’t think they do. This movie is animated and the animation is well done. Jim Carrey plays Ebeneezer Scrooge and he also plays all of the ghosts as well. Jim Carrey is excellent in this movie he pretty much carries the whole film. The other actors are good but you can tell Jim does ninety percent of the movie. Jim Carrey is one of my favorite actors and he brings a nice unique quality to the characters he plays which makes you so entranced in the movie I honestly don’t think this movie would be as good as it is without him in it. There is not much more to say since one actor pretty much carries the whole film. The voice acting is good, the animation is good and the directing is good all in all this is a great movie for Jim Carrey fans, Disney Fans and Fans of this story. This is actually the first movie my child sat through one night when she couldn't sleep. She was about 1.5 at the time. We loved it so decided to buy it clear space on DVR, it's very cute!

Disney a Christmas Carol

Disney A Christmas starring Jim Carey is one of my favorite Christmas Movies of all time. I've watched it lots of time and will watch it more times. This movie moves people to think about how they treat others. It has its funny moments but mainly the story is about Tiny Tim, and Miserly Ebenezer Scrooge and how he must face his past and the truth in order to be set free from his scrooge behaviors. This "Christmas Carol" will make you want to sing!

Great adaption of "A Christmas Carol"! I read the book years ago because of all the film adaptions; THIS ONE is closest to the Dickens classic! Powerful, uplifting & entertaining! Great animation! Great cast! Very engaging! AND proof that Jim Carrey is far more talented than rubber faces & funny voices. Great For Around The Holiday's

I love the old vesion this is a new version that the family will like as well !
It's worth buying ! It's Always Nice To Watch A New Holiday Movie With Family When The Holidays Are Approaching.My family loves the story.
This animated version of A Christmas Carol is quite close to the original version, The animation looked quite realistic .Several startling scenes had me, well, startled--yes, I even shouted once or twice when I got spooked! Young children should find some of the scenes frightening (parents, be advised). I think this version did a better job than some others of illuminating Scrooge's changing heart through the course of the spirits' visits. All three spirits were well portrayed, but I do fault the Disneyesque need to show Christmas Present's corpse transform into bones and dust.

All in all, though, A Christmas Carol--this version too--reminds us in a secular way of distinctly Judeo/Christian truths, that the love of money must never trump our genuine concern for our fellow creatures (i.e., other people), that life brings tremendous joy to all, and that even the meanest, least likable, bitter, hateful curmudgeon can become whole.

Disney's A Christmas Carol

This animated version of the classic is handled by Disney wonderfully. It was able to keep the oldest grandbaby's attention on and off through the movie. Mostly when Scrooge is transported by each ghost. I enjoyed watching this version with him. Very family friendly.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

It is okay ....

This one is of the favorite Christmas Carol a good movie but a little to far out there for me it is life like and real and it is beautifuly done. But I perfer the Mickey Christmas Carol over this one but a good family friendly one no doubt.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
