Disney's Family Story Collection

I love great childrens books. Today, we desperately lack excellent story books for small children. I had great expectations of this book because it is after all "Disney", but I found that the stories were more just paraphrasing the movies. The same movies that we all have seen hundreds of times. I had hoped that Disney would have expanded on these characters and created new and exciting, meaningful stories, that stimulated the imagination, but that is not the case. In the end, what turns out to be more important is the TIME we spend reading to our precious children. If a story is lame, my boys look at me as if I'm speaking martian, and take deep sighs of expectations, just hoping that it gets better. But when a story is really great, they squeeze my arm tightly, eyes wide open, holding their breath and not saying a word. We talk about what they liked about a story, and this provides for stimulating conversation between us and our 3 year olds. Even lame stories provide fun chatter. Book review

Book was in perfect condition. Looks just like new. I look forward to reading to my nephews and niece. I already started reading it bt I stop because I wanted to share with the chilkdren. However I think they won't appreciate it as much I will.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
