A great decoder.

Great sound very realistic. Relatively straightforward install, only difficult part was drilling the hole in the loco frame. But take your time and you will be fine.

Highly recommend for Kato P42 loco

Very Easy to install in KATO P42, use Kapton tape to insulate from motor contact. P42 with this decoder displays strong lighting power and very good DCC control.
