Looks great but coffee is lukewarm
Great looking and compact machine, reasonably quiet and easy to use, externally well made, takes tall cups by removing the drip tray to reveal a lower tray (also removable for washing). Comes with 1 shot, 2 shot and ESE filter baskets and a pretty tacky plastic scoop/tamper, Delonghi should do themselves a favour and replace it with a more solid metal one.
The main problem I have is to get a decent hot cup of coffee from it though. Despite programming it for the hottest water setting, the result is always lukewarm even with pre warming cups with boiling water for a few minutes.

Very Good product
This machine is easy to setup and use. Buttons makes it clear to use and coffee is great. I am still practising to get the right combo of grind size to best extraction but the machine does a great job even with store bought grinds.

Good coffee but a little fiddly to clean.
Cleaning the coffee filters is a little challenging - there is a removable filter in the bottom of the cup which is quite difficult to remove and coffee oil collects under it. Again, getting the coffee grounds out of the filter after use is not easy - they are well compressed. Great Coffee Machine
Although advertised as refurbished it was in fact brand new.
More reasons for buying this particular machine was that it came from the manufacturer with a standard years warranty.
I chose this model as the footprint on my worktop is very slim, a great space saver.
The machine is fast when firing up and makes a lovely cup of coffee.
Very pleased as it does what it says on the tin!

Nice Compact Expresso Machine
Compact machine which does the job really well. Maybe the volume it produces is more suited to one cup brews but it is quick to turn on and brews in seconds. Just needs some practice as to the coffee type and amount to use but not difficult.

Great, with 1 or 2 quirks.
one or two quirks - sometimes it thinks for a couple of minutes before switching on, and the collar that you pull down to swap between Cappuccino and Hot Milk has a very 'un-positive' feel. Once you get the settings right for you, the quality of coffee is very good.

Coffee machine for the lazy
I love this. It is so simple to use. I am too lazy to get up every morning and spoon and press ground coffee into this. I normally use the SEE pods which are readily available on Amazon in mixed packs. These are handy because I am yet to work out which coffee I like the best. I have used ground coffee when I have had the time.
So, there are three separate filters which are like little baskets. One is for ESE pods and two for ground coffee one being single shot and the other for two shots. The filters snap into the handle that twists into the machine. Forgive the basic terms but I am no barista. Be careful as these take some force to fit in the clips in the handle and the first time I used it I trapped the skin on my hand. The water reservoir at the back of the unit can be detached and filled at the tap but it's easier to top up with a jug. Pop your ESE pods into the basket, make sure the paper tag for removal is inside the filter as I found on one occasion it was on the outside and the water leaked from the joint. Press a the button for single shot of double shot of you have filled the double shot basket. Within seconds the job is done and you have your espresso sitting in your cup.
The frother is easy to use and you can make frothy, milky coffee in seconds. It is easy to clean the nozzle and I found a 600mil stainless steel jug defensively under the frother. Any bigger and you will struggle for room.
I reckon you can have your coffee done and dusted in less than a minute. Just remember to switch it on a few minutes before you need it as the top of the unit acts as a cup warned but it needs to warm up.
This unit is slim, it's neat and tidy and looks the part. I reckon it makes as good a coffee as I have paid good money for but as I say I am not a coffee connoisseur of snob i just like a nice coffee now and again a d can't be bothered queuing up in a shop and paying over the odds for it. Great coffee
Had this machine a couple of weeks and becoming an expert barista already. My only gripe making it 4 rather than 5 stars would be that the very simplicity of the machine makes it complex to use. There are 3 buttons and a level of complexity as to what you can make happen with each eg temperature, drink size etc. But that said the cappuccino it makes is as good as any I’d pay for, and the milk frother can be used for hot chocolate too. Brilliant coffee in minutes from this petite machine.
Wonderful little coffee machine, simple to use and makes great coffee. With just three simple buttons, choose either a single or double espresso. The machine heats up in less than a minute, and coffee delivered to perfection (it even pre-heats the filter). If you want an Americano, simply use the steam wand to deliver hot water to the cup prior to pressing the coffee button.
A separate button increases the heat for the milk steamer facilitating easy hot foaming milk if a cappuccino is required. Best to make all coffees first before using the steam wand to heat up milk because after steam, the machine needs to cool down to coffee brewing temperature which can take a few minutes.
The top of the machine acts as a cup warmer, but this works best if the machine is left on as it takes a while to heat up. I tend to switch the machine on, make a coffee and turn off, so the cup warmer does not have time to generate any heat. I simple add hot water to my cup from the steam wand to pre-heat the cup whilst grinding my coffee beans which does the job.
Cleaning is quick and simple. The steamer wand detaches for cleaning, and the coffee filter easily emptied and a quick rinse returns the machine to pristine conditions. Two levels of drip tray allows for all cup sizes.
I've left the machine to use all of its own default settings (works for me), but is is possible to set the cup volume, coffee temperature and water hardness (to allow it to alert you when descaling is needed).
It comes with three filters; single cup, double cup or ESE pods.
I've only had the machine a week, as a replacement for a £50 VonShef espresso machine which had finally died. The difference is well worth the extra expense. Early days, but so far I'm extremely impressed with this coffee maker. It's small, extremely quick, very easy to use and most importantly makes really good coffee.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Ideal
I wanted to switch from a pod machine to a 'bean to cup' machine to avoid having to recycle the aluminium pods in my effort to reduce waste. This is very simple to use, love the fact you can make 2 espressos/coffees at the same time, decent size water container.
