Days of Thunder (Ultra HD, 1990)

It's the Speed Racer movie, the Wachowski's should have made.

The product came intact and in mint condition as promised. The slipcover had no damage and the disc contained no scratches. The item was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. A really good 4K transfer. The colors are striking and the sound is engrossing.

The only fault is that the movie is lacking in the special features department. I would love to see this film get a special edition upgrade.

In the wake of the highly successful Top Gun: Maverick, now would be a great time to revisit this often forgotten Tom Cruise actioner. Yes, it's Top Gun on wheels, but that's not a bad thing. Cruise is in his element as the cocky young hero who has to grow just a bit more before becoming the best that he can be. The supporting cast is amazing especially Robert Duvall. But not to be overlooked is Nicole Kidman, Michael Rooker, Randy Quaid, Carey Elwes, a then unknown John C.
