Dapol Green Water Tower
This is a little tricky to assemble, particularly in regards to the cross struts. However the end result is very satisfying. I used an airbrush to paint it a grotty railways green. It does need to be painted. Otherwise it comes in a dull plastic grey. It will look eye catching on my layout. The design was previously owned by Airfix and has been available for about 50 years. Very nice model
Instructions are fine. Pieces fit together very well. I would have liked some guidance on which colours to use especially with regard to the different regional colour schemes in use at the time that this structure would have been erected for real. Make no mistake this is an old kit, but if you take the time and have the right modelling tools you can make this a pretty good addition to your layout. Bought 2 Because I liked it more 2nd time around.

WATER TOWER
Yes, I know this is an old kit, but don't be put off, it really is very good, I replaced the plastic ladders and handrails with some finer ones but this makes up into a very good model when painted and weathered. Bigger than I thought though!Vollständige Rezension lesen

The kit is an old design but provides useful parts for building the kit as per instructions or you can use the parts in other building projects.
