My opinion on the D-Link Ethernet Broadband Router

I love its small compact size, this feature lets me bring it around in my laptop bag. Also, for a router that small, I was surprised of how many ethernet ports there were. Four are enough for me and I believe that on the go, this product is the right choice. I do not enjoy the fact that the item is damaged in the back. The metal bordering the ethernet ports is bent and twisted, making it hard to insert and unplug the ethernet wiring every time. This last feature greatly disappoints me to the point of losing interest in the item. I still believe this item to be useful for emergencies in the case of setting up wired or wireless networks. D-link Express EtherNetwork® DI-604 Router (RDI604)

This product is very easy to use. Easy hook up, Easy admin abilitys.
Just hook all your plugs in for the computers and modem and plug your power
cord in and off you go. You can set up all your gaming ports and everything else via your admin page which is very simple to use, Pretty well menu driven and friendly so even the novice can use this with relative ease.

This item is effective and incredibly easy to set up. The D-Link DI 604 is compact and sleek in design, making it easy to blend into the office setting. The plug and play action of this router makes it very easy to direct signal to up to 4 different receivers. This product has proven effective in directing signal to multiple computers without any loss in signal strength/speed. The only downfall to this unit is the wired property. However, being hardwired you're guaranteed not to drop signal or be out of range as long as the signal source is stable. This Product is very easy to use, and very user friendly.
Pros:Compatible with Xbox live,Does an excellent job for the price,Compact design allows it to be placed anywhere around desktop.

D-link router operating temperature

I have had 3 used D-link routers to date, both wired and wireless. They all worked fine initially, although one of them gave out after about 6 months. I noticed with all three of them that they run rather warm, much warmer than e.g. my Linksys routers. This could well be a reliability issue for the D-link products.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

This is the second D-Link 604 that I have. They both work great. A true plug and play system. I use the 604 down stream from my secured wifi router. This second 604 was for my majic jack, Directv hook up, and the Xbox 360. I prefer to have everything wired if possible, then I'm not wondering if the problem is with the wifi, the machine, or the internet itself. Great , easy to use Router

I had to replace my old router of the same model with another like it as I don't need a wireless and this one works great for my needs. All I had to do was plug it in and the old settings took over.
