classsic story of cyrano===
saw the movie when i t first came out- was in ove with gerard pardeaux --- green card ---- went to see this in theatre-- took a box of kleenex and it was empty from having passed it around to others watching== welll done -- naturallly a love story of tears.... had bot a cd- but it was broken---- priced it over the years to be replaced- and this was a bargan for a colllecters item.... oxoxoxoxxo i do not mind the language in fench- it has english subtitles-- as did the original movieVollständige Rezension lesen...

Visually glorious
This is such a beautiful film. It's true to original Rostand play and has everything wanted in a classic drama-action, adventure, humor, tragedy and love. The costuming alone is worth watching, even when a piece is only shown for a few moments, the detail is sublime. Good movie 1959 movie with solid cast

Outstanding Movie

A Forgotten but very fine film.
Growing up in Los Angeles, this film was on television many years ago, and a critic from the LA EXIMINAR called the film silly and one of the worst films ever produced. I totally disagree. It showed that miracles do exist. This film can be classified as religious/inspirational as well as romantic/historical, as events like this could have happened.. The actors do a great job in their rolls, the music is very fitting, and the photography is stunning. Fantastic religious movie
I saw this movie years ago and loved it then. I love it even more now because it’s a a terrific story and Carol Baker and Roger Moore were fantastic in this movie. Great cast
The movie has aged but the actors are well cast and frozen in time. The first time I ever saw Roger Moore and he was at his handsomeness.
