Okay game!!

If you know anything at all about Crytek’s famous FPS series then you’ll find few surprises in the third installment of the Crysis series. To say that the graphics are breathtaking is a monumental understatement. There were countless times where I stopped just to take in all the visual splendor the television screen was assaulting me with. Set in 2047, Crysis 3’s version of a dilapidated New York City made me think of Mayan ruins with the streets and buildings reclaimed by nature.
After the awe-inducing setting became familiar and I actually had to get down to the business of saving the world or whatever cookie-cutter story was being thrown at me, the game started to lose a little of its appeal. As a newcomer to the series, I feel that the story is rather generic and the characters are fairly forgettable. Don’t mistake me: the voice-acting is great, the dialogue isn’t too cheesy, and the facial animation leaves little to be desired. But the entire time I was playing the campaign it felt like I was in a Michael Bay movie. For better or worse, it was just over-the-top sometimes. The designers take advantage of every opportunity they can to show off, either through constant explosions or the ever-present water that always seemed to be running down my HUD. I get it, I’m wearing a visor and you wanna show off how well you rendered water effects. Thanks.
Fortunately, the campaign rapidly improves once you get past the first mission and you’ve become more comfortable with the nanosuit. But where the game really shines – outside of the graphics department – is in the gameplay. This is especially apparent once you start to play multi-player. The ability to customize your weapon on-the-fly without having to pause the action is fantastic once you get the hang of it. The abilities of the nanosuit that you wear are way more impressive than Master Chief’s Spartan armor. The ability to power jump, slide, cloak, vault, and basically parkour around during a firefight with other players who have the same capabilities is just plain fun! Crysis 3 may never usurp the multiplayer throne from the bigger guns, but there is enough depth and pleasure to be had here where it’d be easy to lose track of time.
No review of Crysis 3 is complete without discussing the Predator Bow… and how flippin’ sweet it is! Yes, it’s over-powered. Yes, it makes all the other already boring guns even more uninteresting. But who cares?! If you were a fan of Turok’s bow on the N64 or you enjoy playing the Sniper class on Team Fortress 2, then you’ll have way too much fun with this weapon. It appears that bows are becoming popular in entertainment, and that extends to games: Hawkeye in the Avengers movie, the new television series starring Green Arrow of all people, and all the artwork for the new Tomb Raider that depicts a roughed-up Lara Croft with bow in hand. Instead of just falling into a trend, the bow is actually as cool as you would think, and even cooler on multiplayer when everyone can run around all cloaked and agile like a Predator from the movies.
Overall, Crysis 3 is a fantastic game. It’s only when we start to dissect some of the particulars that we run into its shortcomings. And even those would probably not be half as disappointing if not for all the hype that was brewing around this game’s release. 4/5 Stars.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

"From a Pretty Good game to an Awesome Game"

Crysis 2 is an epic game of mankind fighting against a large group of aliens from another planet in the center of New York City, with a state of the art Combat NanoSuit which is compatible with alien technology and adaptable to the most sophisticated alien weapons, Graphics of both Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 are superb in everyway from details to the broad realistic scenario. Crysis 3 - Hunter Edition

Excellent game. The copy I received had some glitchy hiccups in the gameplay and graphics that required a restart on X Box One. However, nothing that caused a major issue. Would highly recommend.

A big fan Of the Crysis series! THe gameplay is as expected, top notch! There is a flaw in almost ever game sold for xbox360, PC, or PS3. After winning the fight with the last boss it freezes up your system. I quick way around this if you experience this is to restart that whole level begining to end without dying or quiting after a save point. There is a patch out and it works, but some of you may not have access to the internet so the above method should work for your with no problems. I wish the story line had a little more depth but if you need a good story read the series of books out for Crysis, Crysis 3 story is good but lacking in areas. The overal rating I give this game is a 9/10. It would get a perfect score if there wasnt that game freezing issue I had on my XBOX360 Slim, and if the story line had a little more depth. I still love the game and I am very happy with the quality of the game, it is smoother playing and the graphics are a bit better overall compared to the Crysis 2 that I also have for the Xbox360. Extremely well-made game! A must have for your Xbox 360 collection!

I bought the game because it's a first-person shooter like Call of Duty, Halo, and Gears of War. What I like about the game is the ability to attach components to your weapons, something not really much seen in other FPS games. THere's really not muchto dislike about the game, though. The game can compare games because of it's unique storyline and the ability to wield four weapons at once.
