Reliable as long as you manually reboot it every week

We have a number of these installed and we have found them to be quite good. One recommendation to everyone who purchases this (or most network gear) is to put a simple digital 7 day timer on the power cord and set it to power off/on at least once a week. Excellent kit for CCNA learning

Had a unique circumstance where I needed to learn Cisco IOS on routers and switches, on the actual hardware, and then I could concentrate on the CCNA curriculum. This kit was perfect for that.
>All hardware was operational and worked as described. Packaging was solid and shipping rates were great for the overall heavy weight. The rack was easy to assemble. I'm glad I went with the layer 3 switch option because it was necessary for my task. Everything was updated to the latest IOS that it would go on the units.

If I had any gripe on this kit, it would be that it didn't come with any power cords for any device. I expected that with the phone unit, but didn't know I would need the for all of the routers and switches too. Fortunately I had tons of extra standard PC power cables available and just used those. No big deal.

I would definitely buy this again if I needed to, and I expect to use this kit for quite a while in learning Cisco gear and IOS.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Definitely not plug n play

A lot of features with fairly good price

I received the product in good shape as if it were new. There was some minor scratches. But it's ok since the device is sold as used, not as new.

Best blue box ever

The Cisco ASA5505 is the best firewall. I've configured many of these so they are somewhat easy for basic setup. If you are a green pea and your first one, not so much.

Cisco ASA5505

I have a long history using Cisco products. Although it was a few years since I last configured one of these, it took a while before it came back. Just remember that the ASDM interface has configuration limitations and you will need to use a Telnet connection for the rest. Excellent lab for CCENT/CCNA

I am currently studying to acheive certification in CCNA/CCENT, and I purchased this lab as an aid in my studies as I am very much a hands on person.
