Spoof of 007 but is not entertaining nor funny,

I have all the James Bond movies. I knew this was a spoof of the James Bond character but it left me wanting. It was campy but not very funny. I am pleased I now have it but I am sorry I spent actual money to get it. Someone else might enjoy it but I watched it once but that is the first and last time I will watch it. An unusual and far out take on James Bond.

Only James Bond movie I didn't have, and never seen. Was one of the most ridiculous movies I've ever seen? Still it completed my 007 collection. Happy to have seen it.

Somehow I remembered it differently.

The last time I watched this movie I was just a kid. I remembered it as being really a cool movie. I guess now that I am way older, I have matured or my likes have changed and I just don't care for the movie. It is made as a spoof and I get that. Not my favorite

It was or has a weird vibe to it . Not sure if I was expecting a more serious James Bond based on the franchise? I knew it was a comedic take off and was disappointed. A bit out there, but fun.

The David Niven movie is certainly a far cry from the official Bond films, but as long as you're prepared to put away your sensible side it's a bit of fun. The great thing about this DVD for me though is that the special features include the original appearance of Bond, in the Climax Theatre production of Casino Royale, starring Barry Nelson as the American (!) Great Camp and Extremely Funny

I saw this movie several years ago while watching old movies on TV, but this one made me sit up and take notice. I have made a point of watching it every chance I've gotten every since that day and I finally decided to just buy the DVD.
It is a spoof of the Bond movies and set in the silly style of the 60's ( great fashion too, what more could you want). The cast of characters is excellent and the acting can be over the top by some but not enough to spoil the fun.
I'm not going to go into the plot and spoil the movie, but I will say that the fight scene at the end of the movie is one of the funniest things I have ever seen on film. This is definately one to watch!Vollständige Rezension lesen

Crazy spoof of the old James Bond as Agent 007 movies

It's ridiculously imaginative, the goofiness is nicely done and there's a battery of well-known stars that make it all happen.

a different Bond

Good movie. Not the typical Connery or Daniel Craig, but still a good movie. I had seen it before and just wanted to see it again.

Goofy but with some great scenes, either love it or hate it.

You either like this movie or you hate it. We're stuck here in quarantine & it is almost never on TV. I asked my husband if he'd like to own it and he said okay. So, I got it for us to watch over a boring weekend with some pizza & wine. Very happy to have it.Vollständige Rezension lesen
