Captain Toad Treasure Tracker Didn’t Dissappoint

I have not played this, I got for my son...he LOVES it. Has been playing it all weekend. That is enough to give it 5 ⭐️ cause if it wasn’t good he would have started playing something else. You can also play Super Mario 3D World as Captain Toad which is pretty cool. Great Puzzle Game! Enjoyable without being Frusterating

Really cute game with engaging puzzles. The feel is similar to Mario 3d world, but so far it isn't as reflexes based. It allows for a great wind-down game where you can use your mind to solve a puzzle but aren't necessarily under a time crunch.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Simple yet deep.

Taken from bonus levels in Super Mario 3D World, Captain Toad expands the premise of small puzzle levels that work just as they do in any 3D Mario game, except Toad can't jump. This small change ripples across the gameplay of Captain Toad, but the extra restriction rarely feels hindering as the levels are clearly designed to show you the routes to the star. The view is completely controllable, giving you the extra tool to find all of the bonuses as well. If you're not a fan of touching the screen while playing, you'll be frustrated as it is a major feature in many levels, and always useful for stunning enemies and finding hidden coins.

As with any major Nintendo release, the product quality is top notch, with graphics, sound and control excellent as Captain Toad uses the same engine that Super Mario 3D World also uses.

This seems like an excellent game for kids, as removing the jump keeps the gameplay simple and without a time limit and relatively slow enemies, the game should be enjoyed by children not ready to take on Super Mario Bros yet. However, there are 3 jewels to find in every level as well as a bonus objective, like finding a secret 1-up or gold mushroom, or not taking damage, etc. that increases the challenge for seasoned gamers. Additionally, the game tracks most coins and fastest times, with a challenge time per level eventually unlocked. There are secret bonus levels as well that I won't spoil.

Great game, easy to learn and fairly simple to play

Great game that helps fill-in some of the gaps about Toad and his roll as military leader in Mushroom kingdom. Lots of fun with virtually endless replay value. Worth easily 4x the price I paid.

Great Hidden Gem

This game is such a hidden gem for the Wii U! It’s unfortunate that it didn’t get more attention when it came out. If you like puzzle games, this is the game for you!

Great game, bad controls

If there were the option to disable gyro controls, it would be perfect, but alas, you simply move your wii pad a bit and the camera moves everywhere as well.

Gameplay is fun though.

It’s a fun concept well executed. It’s appropriate for littler kids but also fun for the whole family.
