Old Time Television from a Simpler and Less Ambiguous Age

Moms-- Dads-- your kids (and you also) have been incorrigibly corrupted by modern television and computer games. Bang-bang blow-em-up movies with cussing and swearing and gratutitious sex, which latter is like sitting at a banquet table while starving and watching everyone else eat. Want entertainment from a simpler time? Want unequivocable bad guy/good guy choices? Want the good guys to win hands down and present a moral lesson for your kids that'll last into their adult lives? Now you've got it! Captain Gallant, alias Buck Rogers (not that '70s t'n'a series) and Flash Gordon, is the defender of democracy and the champion of freedom, and the teacher of virtue as he prevents jihad and islamofasicism on the t.v. screen. Even the Tauregs like him. Even the Mukhtar of Morocco likes him. I like him, too. I like going back to the 1950s. God, how I hate the 21st century. But back then: Every man to his job, and a gas station pump-jockey could own his own home with 2.4 children. A woman who smoked was cast an aversive glance. Divorce was ... hushed up. Wouldn't you like to take a time-travel-trip to Leave It To Beaver Land? To before, even, that Rockin' Stone Age Family? Do any of you even know what I'm talking about? No? Can your children find Washington D.C. on a map? Do they know who Henry Kissinger was? Are there any pictures of Lincoln and Washington anymore in our Kindergarten classrooms? No? Do you automatically believe that every white male is a racist? Yes? Well, come view the Brotherhood of Man on the tiny screen, and watch Captain Gallant of the Foreign Legion, whose mission is "sacred. You will carry it out at all costs."Vollständige Rezension lesen...

to the seller I got this from answer your emails and I would buy more.

considering the age of the series and how hard it was to preserve TV series the quality is outstanding. A great addition to my DVD collection. Only Down side is I wished they had included all episodes in the set. I enjoy older TV series and movies and this set fits very well within my collection, even though not the complete series.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
