Holiday read for the island of Cephalonia

Wanted to read this on location Cephalonia is lovely the book is a bit of a slow to start. Jumps about between the various characters setting the scene but stick with it it's worth a read. Too long winded and badly presented boring details not necessary to plot of story.

Compelling story based on true facts that actually happened on Kephalonia.

Good condition. I'm just replacing a worn out copy. The only book I have read four times.

Great story

Had already read this book, lent it to a friend and didn't get it back!
Bought it again to read again, love the film but book, as usual, is so much better.

One of the best! Wonderful story.

Amazing book, beautifully written. Some say the first chapters are hard going but stick with it, you’ll be so pleased you did!

One of the greatest books of the 20th Century

One of my favourite books of all time.
If you haven’t read it yet don’t be put off by the start, it just gets better and better.

Overhyped read

I bought this based on recommendations of this being the best book by a family member. I found the book dull, and wasn’t for me at all.
