Iffy start but works very well.

I bought this a while back but it was a purchase I’ve been needing to make for some time; though, once it got here, I was pretty excited.

The exterior was nice and looked really good, some scratches but overall a very good quality. It fit perfectly fine to my set of cameras and had nonissue with it getting stuck or damaging whatever it attached to. So right out of the box, it was a pleasant welcome.

I wanted to use it right away but there was a tad bit of battery acid I had to clean out which wasn’t too much of a hassle and something a simple clean-up couldn’t handle.

Then just the simple boot up and testing. Initially it started to give off the scent of something burning and the recycle would take more than a few minutes to reset, so I let it sit out after the testing and waiting a few hours to use it again. Which promptly started to work again and I haven’t had issues since.

It’s quite bright honestly and a little more than what I was expecting, but works like a wonder when taking some shots at night or in the dark. It drains my batteries pretty quick, but they’re rechargeable so I can’t complain about that.

I would recommend this for someone who wants a minimalistic yet effective flash attachment in their inventory. Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Great for modern DSLR's

I just picked up a new Canon 77D and was curious if my old 244T would work with it. So I pulled it out of the closet, through some batteries in, and low and behold, it worked, sort of. You need to take a few things into consideration. This flash was designed specifically for the Canon T50, so its auto functions will not work. You'll have to play around with the settings. Manual or program modes are the only way it will work properly, or you'll get whiteout. The camera does recognize that there is an external flash, so it won't allow you to set the shutter speed faster than 200, which is normal. Now your choice is how to set the flash with the ISO. I found that in program mode, If I set the flash to 400 and the ISO on the camera to 200 and play around with the exposure compensation (in the positive range) It takes some great pictures. The picture I've included is in the middle of the night, 18-55 kit lens at 55mm, ISO on flash 400, on camera 200, f5.6, 1/200.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Awesome product for an older style flash. Sometimes, older is better!!

First off, it arrived exactly as advertised. Looks like it had NEVER been used.

Has worked fine from time battery put in.

Been with ebay from 1988 and I love it at nine eight...

I had a old canon that was a mess.., but I liked this beat up canon. Cleaned it and worked, and looking for a lens. Got won and next looking for a canon speedlite flash. Both the Flash and lens came from ebay. Canon,Lens,Flash and a roll of film. It was so good to see my CANON again that I have it on my dresser for more FUN. I will put it up on Ebay soon.maybe... worked great on the T50 canon slr. was made just for that camera. When used in auto mode on camera Flash will be used for inside if it is needed.
