Good Scanner Indifferent Software

Avery neat,compact scanner.
An initial glitch when it kept telling me that the scanner was locked, when it wasn't, but cured by the old"Turn off, wait, turn on"routine.
Seems to work very well but the software, although easy to use, is very rudimentary. E.g. After scanning you can't draw a box around the bits that you want to keep. It is all or nothing, and the OCR is of very poor quality ( I used a separate freebie that I got from the net, which was much better.

Excellant document and photo scanner

For the price this has got to be one of the best scanners you can buy. If you don't want to scan negatives why pay more? Plus it is powered through the USB cable so you don't use up extra mains sockets.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Excellent scanner for the price. Light years quicker than my previous one.

I had a Canon LiDE 30 for around 10 years. When I updated my laptop to Windows 7, the thing would not work and Canon had no software update!
I was not going to buy another Canon because of this, but the price was very good for the spec, so I bought.
Glad now that I did, as it works perfectly.
So much quicker to scan than my old one: I would guess around 4-5 seconds for an A4 at 300dpi! My old one took around 35 seconds.
Scanned in some old photos and the resolution is excellent.
Don't know how they have managed to do it, but it WILL NOT scan any money! I wasn't trying to become a counterfieter, I just wanted to see how good it copied. It starts to scan and then a box comes up with ERROR! Very clever.
Buy one, you will not be dissapointed.

A good scanner if the price is right.

Having updated my computer to win 8 I needed a compatible scanner and liked the look of the Canon range 110 was first choice but LiDE 210 faster and higher spec. No software was included but current driver and software available free from Canon site. When I first received the scanner it didn't work, the seller had neglected to lock the mechanism and I surmise that it had become jammed in transit, after a bit of fiddling (30 mins)I got it cleared and now works fine.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

First class product, good value for money and totally reliable.

I bought this scanner as a replacement for a previous Canon Canoscan version which had finally given up after many years of excellent service.
