Great Beginner Set for Live Sound.

These are a great set of beginner value drum mics. CAD is a reputable brand for entry-level equipment, and the price is right. I've gigged with these a couple of times and have had great experiences so far.
The signal is not the strongest but it still comes through enough and has a good clear sound. The clips have held up so far, I've had no troubles with anything coming loose or rattling around while playing. The only complaint I could give is that it can be tough to get your XLRs plugged securely into them, but it just takes a little extra effort and they'll stay put.
Keep in mind what you have and what drums you'll be micing- I'm micing a 5 piece kit but I 1) already had overhead condensers and 2) won these at an irresistible price so I opted to get these and then just buy the last tom mic separately. If you're working with a 5 piece kit and starting from scratch, you may want to go with CAD's 7 mic set (5 clip-ons and 2 overheads).
Also, keep in mind what your purpose for them is- micing each individual drum is mostly for playing live. The setup will be very different in a studio.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

CAD Tom microphone

Good tom mic with decent sound for the price.
Stays in place and the clamp is adjustable.
