Good switcher for the price.

It's a nice little switcher for smaller shows. You can't beat the price. The Aux out is a great feature along w/ PIP. The only issue, as with the majority of BMD products is theres no internal scaler. Plus it's small enough to carry on planes so need to check it at the counter when traveling. I've used it 3 times so far, & had no issues, but the shows I did where relatively small. 2 screens and 1 DSM for program. The 2nd DSM I used the Aux out for notes. Inputs where 2 laptops for GFX, 1 PBPro, & 1 laptop for a loop during walk in & walk out.

Great switch.

This is a fantastic video switch, especially for the money.

Two lumakey overlays plus one chroma key or PIP. I use the PIP for a news desk style Overlay all the time.

The only catch is that you need an SDI to HDMI converter for most capture devices or recorders.

Still, this is my third ATEM TV Studio. I love this product.

Great product and value.

Great product and value. Strengths include 8 inputs, with program and aux outs. Weaknesses only SDI program out no HDMI (HDMI is only for multiview). No H.264/H.264 built in encoder for recording and streaming. Another big issue is fan noise, if you are recording in a small studio or room the fan noise might create a problem. I would say you need to place the Atem at a minimum of 15 feet from mic to control fan noise, anything closer than that and you will definitely have a problem. This might make it sound like it's extremely loud, it's not, but it is loud enough that it can create problems when it's placed close to mics. designed for success!

This device made uograding to hi-def extreemly easy and quick. Got another one for my friend's Church. Great value.

BMD ATEM HD switcher a great investment!

Great small portable switcher that can do everything needed and more. A mix of hdmi and sdi inputs - flexible, small, powerful!
